Our Liquid Ring Compressor Range

Proven Performance & Reliability

NASH liquid ring compressors have the greatest performance range worldwide. Our compressors work on discharge pressures of up to 200 PSIG (15 bar abs.) with a suction capacity of 8,800 CFM (1,500 m³/h) or 9,400 CFM (16,000 m³/h). Thus, compressing gas to 30 PSIG (2 bar abs.) depending on the machine and application.

Low Pressure Liquid Ring Compressors

(Up to 30 PSIG or 2 bar abs.)

Low pressure liquid ring compressors deliver reliable, proven performance for wastewater treatment, digester gas compression, aeration, and many other applications and industries. With a discharge pressure up to 30 PSIG (2 bar abs.), Nash provides efficient, low-pressure compressors that require low maintenance. Alternate seal liquids can be used when water is not compatible with the process gas.

Our low-pressure liquid ring compressors are available in stainless steel, ductile iron, and other optional materials. Click the link to learn more about low pressure liquid ring compressors.

Medium Pressure Liquid Ring Compressors

(Up to 75 PSIG or 6 bar abs.)

Medium pressure liquid ring compressors deliver reliable, proven performance for demanding process applications such as:
• recovery and compression of hydrocarbons
• compression of hydrogen, chlorine, and other process gases

With a discharge pressure up to 75 PSIG (6 bar abs.), Nash offers efficient, medium pressure compressors with low maintenance requirements. Alternate seal liquids can be used when water is not compatible with the process gas.

Our medium pressure liquid ring compressors are available in stainless steel, ductile iron, and other optional materials.

High Pressure Liquid Ring Compressors

(Over 75 PSIG or 6 bar abs.)

High pressure liquid ring compressors deliver reliable, proven performance for toxic, explosive, and corrosive gases in oil & gas, petrochemical, and chemical applications including flare-gas recovery and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) recovery.

With a discharge pressure over 75 PSIG (6 bar abs.), Nash offers powerful, high pressure compressors with low maintenance requirements. Alternate seal liquids can be used when water is not compatible with the process gas.

Our high pressure liquid ring compressors are available in stainless steel, cast iron, and other optional materials. Click the link to learn more about high pressure liquid ring compressors.

Inside A NASH Liquid Ring Compressor

The NASH compressor is simple with only one moving part that is a rugged, balanced rotor requiring no internal lubrication. A rotating ring of liquid compressant does what sliding vanes or pistons do in other compressors.

The liquid compressant is represented in the below model by the grid-patterned area. Curved rotor blades, shown in section, transmit power to keep liquid rotating.

The liquid compressant is represented in the below model by the grid-patterned area. Curved rotor blades, shown in this section, transmit power to keep liquid rotating.

The ring of liquid follows the inside of the round-shaped body. Each revolution, every rotor chamber fills with liquid, then partly empties.

While a chamber is going past the inlet port, the liquid moves out. Air or gas is drawn into the chamber. When a chamber arrives at the discharge port, compressed air or gas escapes to the compressor discharge.
