Each industry has exclusive requirements when it comes to vacuum technology, and no one understands those requirements better than Nash. Nash offers unparalleled expertise and upholds a reputation for products that perform reliably under challenging conditions.
Nash is committed to offering innovative solutions that outperform, solve problems and reduce energy consumption, all while costing you less.
Suitable Applications
General industrial applications that depend on NASH pre-engineered vacuum systems:
- Food & Beverage - vacuum is used from vacuum packaging to bottling.
- Filtration - the process of separating solid particles from a liquid slurry.
- Plastic Extrusion - during barrel venting vacuum removes moisture, entrained air, and residual monomers from the extruder while the raw plastic material is being melted down and mixed. On the sizing or calibration table, the profile is quenched with water to cool it, while it is drawn through a series of vacuum sizers (dies) that refine the shape. A liberal amount of the spray water is also pulled through the sizers, making the water handling capabilities of the liquid ring vacuum pump important.
- Paper Converting - vacuum permits these manufacturers to operate their machines at high speed with the vacuum (differential pressure) providing pick-up, transfer, and chucking of the given paper product.
- Pulp Molding - the use of vacuum in this process allows the molding machine to capture the slurry of pulp in a mold to produce the desired end product.

- Wood Treatment - vacuum is pulled before the introduction of wood treating chemicals to ensure maximum penetration into the wood fibers. The preservation is then introduced into the chamber.
The pressure is applied to the preservative into the wood. A final vacuum is applied to remove the excess preservative.
- Mining - vacuum is used to remove filtrate from mining by-products to either refining the product or removing the filtrate before shipment.
- House/Process Vacuum - typically vacuum is used to pull room temperature air from various locations such as packaging machines, machine tools, and labs.
